Alexxis Falcon went the distance at the latest PROGRESS Wrestling show and captured the Women’s Championship.
It has been a long road to the title for ‘The Iron Queen’, having never held the title and last having the opportunity to compete for it against Lana Austin back in 2023.
Austin even made sure that for a long period of time, Falcon wouldn’t be able to compete for the gold again – something which it took a long time to find the opportunity to fight to get the decision reversed.
Since then it has felt like Falcon was laser-focused on getting that opportunity, and seemingly earned her place winning a six-way scramble at Unboxing 2025, before challenging Rayne Leverkusen at the end of the event.
It was never going to be an easy task though, considering how dominant Leverkusen had been since arriving in PROGRESS Wrestling. Only debuting at the end of 2024, ‘The Maiden Of Metal’ shot straight in to the title picture, and captured the belt from Rhio in October 2025.
Despite a relatively short career in the company having only debuted at the end of 2024, Leverkusen has had a meteoric rise which culminated in winning the title from Rhio back in October 2025.
Since then she’s gone on to defend the gold against the likes of Session Moth Martina, Emersyn Jayne and most recently Kanji at Unboxing before lining up this match with Falcon at the Electric Ballroom in Camden.
As you’d expect, both ladies left it all in the ring, with some huge moments including Falcon looking like she might get counted out after a huge move on the apron.
It also looked like the match would take a turn when Falcon connected with Off With Her Head, but the referee had been knocked from the ring just before. The pause in action allowed for Leverkusen to connect with Thunderstruck, but between how much had been taken out of her and the referee returning to the ring, it was only enough for a two count.
In the end the crowd erupted when Falcon hit her finisher a second time to become the new PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Champion.
Reflecting the next day, Alexxis Falcon applied one of her favourite Disney songs to the moment she lifted the gold.
There has not yet been confirmation of the first title defence, however the next PROGRESS event takes place at The Electric Ballroom on Sunday 15th February, and tickets are available now.
