At the biggest all women’s event this country has ever seen, Session Moth Martina has toppled Rhio to become Pro Wrestling EVE Champion.
It has already been a year of winning titles for Session Moth Martina, after she captured the Pro Wrestling Cyprus Ladies Championship from Melissa Fierce last month.
Back in January she was also victorious in the annual SHE-1 tournament, earning herself the shot at the EVE title at Wrestle Queendom.
She had to wait until the Multiverse Rumble event last month to find out who she’d be facing, as Rhio had to successfully navigate a defence against Nightshade.
Now in front of 1,200 fans inside Indigo at the O2, Martina has won the big one when she managed to defeat Rhio for the title.
The match was clearly brutal, with Martina’s head cut open and thumbtacks also in play.
Martina even had to come back from being put through a table by Rhio to pick up the victory.
Session Moth Martina becomes the 26th Pro Wrestling EVE Women’s Champion, with the title dating back to the company’s founding in 2011.
This isn’t the only gold to change hands at Wrestle Queendom, after Alex Windsor won the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship from Syuri.
Congratulations to Martina on winning the title, as she brings in a new era for EVE and will no doubt have plenty of challengers lining up very quickly!
