Pro Wrestling EVE presented its annual SHE-1 tournament at the Big Penny Social Club in London, with the stakes higher than ever for the winner.
With all roads leading to Wrestle Queendom on 8th March at Indigo at the O2, this year’s SHE-1 tournament would get the chance to headline the historic event.
There were shocks right from the outset as Abi Cartwright competed in the final qualifying match against a returning Debbie Keitel, who was making her first appearance in the UK having spent the last year competing in Japan.
The tournament would end up boiling down to a final between a stalwart of Pro Wrestling EVE in Session Moth Martina, and one of those rising quickest in the promotion ‘All Violence’ Anita Vaughan.
However, it was Martina who managed to pick the win and in a post on social media afterwards made clear how tough a journey it had been not just overall to get to this point, but in the build-up to the show.
There was one major concern during the show, when Safire Reed went down early and the referee was forced to stop the match. The star has since confirmed herself that she’s fine and will be back to compete in due course.
