Dani Luna wasn’t announced for a match at WXW’s 16 Carat weekend, but made a surprise return on the final day to face a top Japanese star.
Going in to the appearance, Luna was undefeated in the company, having defeated both Miyu Yamashita and Jane Nero during the 25th Anniversary tour in November last year, as well as another victory over Nero in January in a No Disqualification match.
However, this surprise appearance on Sunday 8th March was her first loss in the company, as she was defeated by Japanese star Chihiro Hashimoto.
Hashimoto had been part of the 16 Carat tournament itself, however was knocked out in the first round by Cowboy Way’s Thomas Shire.
After the victory, it was announced that Hashimoto would be part of the annual Femmes Fatales tournament this coming September.
As for Dani Luna, she has been setting her sights on gold in TNA, going up against former Knockouts Champion Lei Ying Lee recently on Impact and picking up the victory, pushing her further up the rankings to get a title shot.
