Isla Dawn has made her presence known in AEW and ROH over recent months, but has now stepped up to possibly her biggest match to date.
Dawn was a part of the AEW tour of the UK, which featured a number of British wrestlers and was also when Alex Windsor won the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship from Mercedes Mone.
Isla Dawn took on Marina Shafir in Cardiff and Jamie Hayter in Manchester, and although she was on the losing end of both contests she has clearly done enough to impress management to come back.
On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander issued an open challenge for a title eliminator match this Saturday on Collision, which Dawn was very quick to accept.
Statlander is already set to defend her title against Thekla on next Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite. If Isla Dawn wins her match this Saturday, she’ll be guaranteed a shot against whoever walks away with the gold from that match.
