New Tag Team Champions have been crowned in Pro Wrestling EVE, as French Art have managed to dethrone LALLIE for the gold.
This was a rematch between the two teams from February, where Lana Austin and Hollie Barlow were able to retain the titles in a match which received plenty of acclaim from both the crowd in attendance and online.
Since then LALLIE have gone on to make plenty of successful defences, including against the likes of The IInspiration, and Charli Evans and Jessica Troy at Wrestle Queendom.
However, the rematch with JGU and Cory Zero took a very different turn.
After Zero took a spill to the outside, the referee went to check on her whilst the action continued in the ring. However, JGU then pulled off one of the turnbuckle pads – however before she could use the exposed buckle, the referee had the pad and was in the exposed corner.
Unfortunately he then took the brunt of it as the wrestlers charged in to him, and French Art shockingly took advantage of the opening.
Zero threw one of the title belts to JGU who took out Lana Austin with it, and when Hollie Barlow went to get involved she met with the same fate.
There was a huge reaction when Barlow managed to kick out, however she then took another series of moves ending with a huge moonsault from Zero which was enough for the three count.
Congratulations to the 17th holders of the Pro Wrestling EVE Tag Team Championships, although given how the win happened you can be sure LALLIE will be looking to get a rematch.
The next EVE event takes place on Friday 3rd July, and tickets are available now.
